For nonprofits, churches, and community organizations in Southern West Virginia.
Helping our community meet real, everyday needs.
The Rumley Foundation continues the way Richard and Frances Rumley lived, supporting the people and programs that hold a community together.

The work we fund
We fund nonprofits, churches, and community groups whose work strengthens a whole community and keeps doing good long after the first need is met. That can look like:
- Expanding a food program so it reaches more families
- Improving access to reliable transportation
- Creating stability through practical, everyday support
When your work helps people in a way that lasts, you are in the right place.
About Richard and Frances Rumley

Richard and Frances Rumley helped people quietly, consistently, and without judgment. On Sunday afternoons they would load up what was ripe in the garden and visit the elderly and the homebound, because they knew how much a little steady company could mean.
Frances sewed and quilted by the hundreds, and no one left their home without something to take along. Richard grew far more than he could ever use, then carried the rest to neighbors and to anyone who needed a hand.
This foundation continues that work.
